1. Stop child marriage. 2 Educate girl child with special care. 3. Health of girl child should be protected. 4. Educate young mothers about gender equality. 5. Stop child labour.

Gender treatment is much better in Assam in comparision to other Indian states. I have not heard of any Assamese family saving from day 1 after the girl is born, for her dowry. Having said, all things are not hunky dory. Here are some suggestion: teaching girls martial arts in school, adding lesson about gender equality and diversity in school curriculum to create awareness, calling inspiration women speakers to school for motivation talks.

If we can count 1 lady's vote as 1.02, whereas 1 man's vote as 1, then it will automatcially make ladies more important. All parties will give more importance to female public and in about a few years the problem will be gone.

But who will save a suffering woman when even bureaucrats harras her...who will save...what we will do in such situations... Character Assassination is another problem when false complaints too hamper the status of a good woman ....wat we will do in such situation

Mental abuse is not only prevalent in between the four walls of a house....mental abuse are often faced working women where women are tortured by other woman who are more powerful and even by the stronger sex and in many cases women seems to do injustice to another which is really sad in our society... Bureaucrats pressurize women to resign from their jibs when they find any women who has good potential..... Bureaucrats or high ranking officers are definitely the decisions makers and breakers

1. neither in schools nor in public areas girls can find lavatories. Please ensure such facilities to protect girls dignity, safty and physical hygiene .
2. Social mindset for girlchild needs to be changed with times. Village to village awareness programme may help the issue.
3. Gender friendly curriculum in schools must be included. most of the chapters are male centric where girls can hardly relate themselves.
4. Focus and create awareness, open environment on menstruation health,taboos.
