Under Kanaklata Mahila Sabalikaran Achoni, Good Samaritan SHG of Huonveng village in Haflong has received financial assistance, enabling them to invest in production of traditional fabrics, piggery, weaving, farming, etc. This initiative by the Govt has helped the women of Huonveng village to become self-sufficient, thus setting the momentum for woman empowerment in the area.
