Prabin Saikia from Lakhimpur conceived the idea of Banatirtha after being inspired to preserve and promote the indigenous flora of Assam. Saikia has always been awed by plants from a very young age. As time went by, he left no stone unturned to turn Banatirtha into a heaven of flora with various lesser known varieties of trees and flowers.
