The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a never seen before threat on the nation, not only in terms of health but also in terms of economy. As the nation enters its fourth stage of lockdown, businesses continue to be hindered and the economy is threatened to the core.
During this time of extreme crisis, Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi has shown the way forward in form of Aatm Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. The PM has urged all to produce, promote and buy local so the economy gets a boost. This is a clarion call for all to not only choose, but produce indigenous and local products. This will help the nation move past the situation of crisis.
In making the nation Aatm Nirbhar, sectors like agriculture, animal husbandry, entrepreneurship, handloom and handicrafts, etc. may especially prove to be promising.
In the coming times, which sectors of Assam, according to you, can contribute significantly in boosting the local economy of the state and help reach the goal of self-reliance.

Agriculture is the best to address state economic sustainability. Agriculture produce should be encouraged more for one Nation one price in government stalls. Agriculture price and market compromise, management and support to farming has excellence in incurring state economic order in to a healthy position. Agriculture has excellence in generating employment benefits, economic allocation, widens social linkages and helps in cultural defusion. Agriculture is automatic income generating mechanism

Only agriculture is the one and only sector in which assam can contribute for local economy with very limited crops only.Rest all others sectors i don't think assam can do better because of very poor infrastructure and lack of information to majority of peoples and also climatic factor.Animal husbandry is very good sector but our consumption is far higher than production.

COVID-19 has engendered unprecedented disruptions across sectors. From suspending flights and trains to restricting the movement of people and vehicles, it has had a large-scale impact on the Indian economy.
With institutes closed and regular classes on hold during the lockdown period, online learning has emerged as the most viable tool for educators looking to ensure that the pandemic’s impact on their learners’ academic progress is minimized.

Assam is an agriculture rich state. It is a high time to grow fcrops locally in both rural and urban area. Government has been helping farmers to develop crop fields but for urban developing of roof top garden is a necessary approach. Income can be increased through reducing the post harvest losses. To cope with this it is important to increase the number of valuable food processing industries, cold storage, transportation facilities, local crop, local value added quality reliable food products

environment and nature. It's rich demographic culture is it assets. Assam should flourish as a tourist state. It would help to protect the indigenous cultural and aid development in in many folds. Agriculture would also make the state harness it's self reliance motto. So to conclude Assam is for Agriculture State of Self Assured Management. Thank you.
