অসমত ৫০.৪% মৃত্যুৰ কাৰণ হ’ল পথ দুৰ্ঘটনা। যিটো হাৰ ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় পৰ্যায়ত ৩৬.৪%। দিনক দিনে বৃদ্ধি পাবলৈ লোৱা যান-বাহনৰ সংখ্যা, পথৰ দূৰৱস্থা আদিৰ বাবে এনে ঘটনা বৃদ্ধি পাইছে যদিও মানুহৰ অসাৱধানতা তথা ট্ৰেফিক আইন ভংগ কৰা আদিৰ ফলত এনে ঘটনা অতি চিন্তনীয়ভাৱে বাঢ়িবলৈ লৈছে।
ৰাজ্যৰ আৰ্থ-সামাজিক দিশটোৰ ব্যাপক ক্ষতিসাধন কৰা এনে ঘটনা বৰ্তমান সময়ত সমাজৰ প্ৰতিজন সচেতন নাগৰিকৰ বাবে এক চিন্তনীয় বিষয় হৈ পৰিছে। কেৱল সজাগতা তথা সাৱধানতাৰ দ্বাৰাহে এনে ঘটনা ৰোধ কৰাটো সম্ভৱ। পথ সুৰক্ষা সন্দৰ্ভত সজাগতা সৃষ্টিৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত ৰাজ্য চৰকাৰে সময়ে সময়ে বিভিন্ন পদক্ষেপ গ্ৰহণ কৰি আহিছে আৰু এই ক্ষেত্ৰত জনসাধাৰণৰ সহযোগিতা তথা দিহা-পৰামৰ্শ অতিকৈ প্ৰয়োজনীয়।

পথ সুৰক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত জনসাধাৰণৰ সক্ৰিয় অংশগ্ৰহণ বিচাৰি অসম চৰকাৰে আয়োজন কৰিছে শ্লোগান লিখা প্ৰতিযোগিতা। এই প্ৰতিযোগিতাত অংশ লৈ শ্লোগানৰ জৰিয়তে পথ সুৰক্ষা সন্দৰ্ভত সজাগতা সৃষ্টিৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত চৰকাৰখনলৈ আপোনাৰ মূল্যৱান দিহা-পৰামৰ্শ আগবঢ়াওক।

For pedestrians:
•Left side is the safe side to walk on the road.
•Take the zebra track as the safe zone; to safely, on the other side, u can pass on.
For drivers:
•slow drive; long live
•Think & drive but do not drink & drive. Stay safe, stay alive.
•Save your life; do not drink and drive.
•Look and hear; before u gear.
•Obey the rules of traffic and avoid the situations of hectic.

To the people of assam ..
Ride the vehicles careful and in slow speed .. U always going high speed and this cause accident and u may die .... So my request for the people of assam teach them fellows to ride slowly and pls respect the girls... And to the government pls check the speed of the bikers and car drivers who goes speed in any road and appeal to the government may check the quality of roads and make better roads #roadsafety
