Logo for Panchayat and Rural Development Dept..

The logo is the picture of assams one horned running rhino.The head of the rhino indicate rural housing development.The mid area of the orange rhino signifies the wealth and water drop signifies sanitation of rural areas.The right hand side of the rhino indicate the employment opportunity of rural peoples.The first foot of rhino indicate public infrastructures and 2nd foot indicate the healthy people environment.The india flag colour of the rhino indicate unity among peoples.

This logo has been created in accordance with the focus areas - the water drop signifying the steps to be taken towards sanitation, the buildings and road portraying infrastructural development, the leaf representing the facilities the rural region of this state will be receiving under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, the book representing eradication of poverty through education and more and various employment and livelihood opportunities depicted through the magnifying glass. The logo depicts the peace and prosperity in the families of rural people.

The logo consists of a symbolic tree which is associated with "Gram Panchayat". There are four leaves in this tree which represents the focus areas which are (1) Agriculture and irrigation, (2) Employment opportunities, hope and progress, (3) Rural housing and sanitation, (4) Development of rural infrastructure such as electricity, road and small industries respectively. The people in front of the tree depends and believes in this tree i.e. Panchayat and Rural Development department.
