৫ জুন বিশ্ব পৰিবেশ দিৱস উপলক্ষে আলোচনাৰ বিষয়বস্তু

I am a student of National Institute of Technology, Silchar. I ,along with my friends have started an ECO CLUB in the college last year. We have many people coming forward and trying to do something good for the environment. Such ECO CLUBS should be present in every district. That is my suggestion. For details go to my below 3 posts.

ENVIRONMENT STUDENTS ASSOCIATION, ASSAM
1.Implementation of proper Environment Education system and recruit of environment Science subject teachers in both degree Colleges and Higher secondary Schools.
2.Initiation of environmental science subject (major/pass/optional) in colleges:
3.Recruitment of environmental officers in PHE, Gram Panchayat, Block Development Office and Municipality Board:
We are also hopeful to know govt.Positive statement on coming world environment day-5th June

(5) It would be competitive if there will be a competion among all the ECO CLUBS of all the districts and declare prizes for the works done by them for the whole year.

improve the scenic beauty of the district. There is no problem for funds as such activities require very less money and that can be collected from public donations also.
(4) The Government should ban plastic bags once and for all. The ECO CLUB should be given the responsibilty to make cheaper paper bags which can be made easily with little man power and machine works. These bags will be given to the retailers and the shopkeepers will use it.

(1) The Assam Government should take the initiative of establishing ECO CLUB in every district who will carry out all the sustainable activities of the district.
(2)The Government should appoint some persons as officials who will monitor everything. Regarding members it is not a problem as many people will come forward and help out in carrying the activities of the club.
(3) The ECO CLUB in every district will carry out mass tree plantation, organize cleanliness drive at regular intervals,

Sir,further to my request to ban plastic/Polythene I would like to suggest that jute bags ( made by Artfed & other NGOs ) should be placed at all provision & retails outlets so that the public are offered a viable environment-friendly option.This will also give employment& earnings to self-help groups esp women in rural areas.

Respected Honourable Chief Minister....On behalf of the Ladies Circle Members of Dona Presidency Apartments VIP road I shall be grateful if you would implement banning of polythene bags/plastic with immediate effect. This is causing major pollution . This apart, waste management ( segregation of dry & wet waste ) will go a long way in controlling pollution .

It is observed that shopping malls are using very powerful air conditioning for their business purposes which is causing severe damage to our environment. Moreover many buildings are designed in such a way like no window but only covered with glass for show only and for air they using air conditioning. Still there are some buses who were running their busses like fighter plan but no control of traffic police. That like driver should be arrested and punishment should be given. I m a government servant never reach office on time due to traffic jam at bharalu, at road,paltanbazar (it's daily routine) whereas our Authority always rebuke us. Before going somewhere we first think about jam. Maligaon to Ganeshguri road condition is very bad specially paltanbazar and santipur area.
