The world is facing a never seen before crisis today, a pandemic that has turned life upside down. It has hurled onto us unthinkable perils. The social life with physical proximity that we once took for granted has seamlessly slipped away from our hands. As people comply with social distancing and quarantine rules, life has largely moved online. A major part of everything is now happening digitally to curb gathering and that has come to be the neo-normal.

In keeping with the COVID-19 protocols, MyGov Assam's popular Gyan Bharati quiz has moved online this year. Celebrating India's 74th Independence Day, the all Assam open quiz will take place live on August 15, 2020. The quiz will be conducted by noted quizmaster *Shri Ashutosh Das*. The quiz shall have two phases. A *preliminary round* will be held on *August 12*, 2020, after which *six teams* shall qualify for the final round. The *final round* will take place on *August 15*, 2020 on a *video conferencing* platform. Each team must have three members.

Preliminary round:
August 12, 2020 using *Google Forms*
Time: 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Final round:
August 15, 2020 using a video conferencing platform

Prizes:
1st prize: Rs 5000
2nd prize: Rs 3000
3rd prize: Rs 2000
Rs 1000 each for the other three finalist teams

Terms and conditions

The quiz is open to all residents of Assam irrespective of age, education, present place of stay, etc.

Participants have to form a 3-member team to take part in the quiz. Each team must have a team leader.

Each team may consist of members belonging to different institutions or age groups.

To participate in the competition, individuals have to register at MyGov Assam portal (assam.mygov.in) before August 11, 2020 (6 pm).

The leader of each team has to mention the names, email addresses and phone numbers of each team member in the comment section below to ensure their participation in the competition.

Google Form link for the preliminary round will be shared with the leaders of each team via email.

Link for submission will be activated at 6:30 pm and can be attempted till 7:30 pm. Only one member of the team needs to submit the answers. Everyone in the team can view the questions.

The final round shall be conducted on a video conferencing platform.

Only six teams shall qualify for the final round.
