Puspadhar Das's Zest for Farming

Puspadhar Das is a young and dynamic farmer from Baksa. He is an alumnus of prestigious institutions, such as IIM Bangalore and St Stephen’s College, New Delhi, who has inspired many through his zest for farming. He has been associated with farming since 2003 and mainly practices mechanisation, multi-cropping, dairy farming, pisciculture, SRI, etc. He is currently the vision director of Vision 2020: Sitajokhola Dairy Cooperative Society. He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Baksa. Puspadhar Das was conferred the Nandalal Upadhyay State Farmer Award 2017 for his contribution to integrated farming. He was also felicitated as a farmer by the Hon’ble Vice President of India on the 50th Foundation Day of Assam Agriculture University in 2018. He was a part of the farmers’ team that was sent to Vietnam for an agri-exposure tour by the Government of Assam.
