Ashwaklanta Temple: Where Divinity Meets History

Start Date: 28-12-2020
End Date: 31-12-2023
Located at Majgaon in North Guwahati, Ashwaklanta temple has a rich history of its own. It was built during the reign of Swargadeo Siva Singha on the ruins of 9 th-12th century stone relics and as such gives a wonderful insight into a long era. There are two temples on site and both of them are dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The presence of two Lord Vishnu idols gives the temple a unique identity of its own. As per mythology, Lord Krishna's horses got tired and rested here, thus giving this place its name.
