Being an agrarian state, Government of Assam gives topmost priority to the Agriculture department for bringing about a transformation in the Agriculture/Horticulture sector. This is the sector which provides food and nutritional security to the people of Assam and has the potential to earn a major source of revenue for the State by increasing farm income by many times. Increasing production and productivity of agri-horticultural crops using environment friendly science and cutting age technology, a well defined and smart policy framing is imperative. Hence, Department of Agriculture through ‘MyGov Assam’, solicits inputs from public at large, which may contribute in framing a right policy.You can contribute your ideas in the ‘Comment’ Section below.

STATE GOVERNMENT SHOULD GIVE FARMERS AN AMOUNT(FREE NON REFUNDABLE) TWO TIMES A YEAR. OF COURSE IF A SINGLE FARMER EXCEEDS MORE THAN CERTAIN LIMIT OF LAND SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN. GOVERNEMNT SHOULD DO AWARENESS AND ENCOURAGE ORGANIC FARMING. THEY SHOULD DO AWARENESS ON ROTATION OF CROPS BY KEEPING ASEPERATE TEAM . AFTER CULTIVATION FOR BUYING GOVERNMENT SHOULD COME FORWARD AND BUY SO THAT THE FARMER ALWAYS BENEFITS ,AND SEE THAT THE COMMERCIAL CROPS ARE EXPORTED.AN INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR FARMERS.
