I propose for introduction of rule by Government to have a mandatory rain water harvesting mechanism for every upcoming housing projects [ Say Housing complex with minimum 15 flats or more] . Govt. can attract consumers with tax exemption facility which ultimately helps Govt. to minimize their expenditure burden during water crisis . It will also help job generation opportunity for the niche market.

Rain Water Harvesting is the urgent need of the time. Govt. should take strict and constructive steps ensuring RWH. In cities as well as in other places, RWH should be adopted to prevent natural calamities. RWH is the natural process to keep Nature pacified. I had installed RWH system in my house 10 years ago and I am much benefited.

Rain Water Harvesting is most essential on earth. We, the people in Assam are lucky enough that still we are getting enough rain and water. That's why we do not bother about water. But, we have seen that in the dry season, particularly in the city like Guwahati, people don't get consumable water, well/ponds get dry due to excessive under-ground water exploitation. If we start RWH, (it should be done by every household) crisis of water will diminish.

Our mighty Brahmaputra can be a big dam singly with proper plantation of surrounding concrete and cement mixure wall with digging its internal earth elements. Releasing food growing harvesting areas to our farmers and rest water dam for watering to paddy land.
We not can develop it duo to our negligency of work in every situation, we searching only easy money growing by Govt. of Assam or Govt. of India's relief fund.

Kotchakorn Voraakhom a Thai girl who designed park which can reserve million litres of water in rainy season and this park can reduce flood effects in Bangkok. This water is used in dry season. So I request you to invite this girl and discuss about the matter and apply it in Guwahati also.
For more information...Go to Bangkok and see the park! Or just google Kotchakorn Voraakhom.
