At a time, when people are championing equality for girl children, a section of the society still regards the girl child as a liability. The thinking that boys deserve more than girls arises from our age-old societal construct. Cases of female foeticide, violation of basic human rights, physical and mental abuse, gender inequality, etc., are still prevalent and yet to be fully erased.
It is our duty to create a healthy environment for the girl children where they can grow without any fear and humiliation. A girl with proper access to resources today will become an empowered woman tomorrow. She should be able to pursue her dreams without any inhibitions.

On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, MyGov Assam seeks your suggestions on how can the various stakeholders contribute toward all round development of the girl children? Do you think the society is still lagging behind in ensuring safety for the girls? Children become conscious of physical difference between boys and girls. Before third Birth day most Children can easily label themselves as either a boy or girl. By age four: most Children have astsble sense of their gender.

কন্যা শিশুৰ সৱলী কৰণৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত সমাজৰ সকলো শ্ৰেণীৰ লোকে গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা পালন কৰা উচিত।আজিৰ দিনত মহিলা সকল সকলো ক্ষেত্ৰতে আগবাঢ়ি যাব পৰিছে।মহাকাশ বিজ্ঞান, চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞান,প্ৰযুক্ত, শিক্ষা কোনে ক্ষেত্ৰত মহিলা সকলে গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা গ্ৰহণ কৰা দেখা যায়।ইতিহাসৰ পাতত পোৱা যায় যে অপলা,ঘোষা,লোপমুদ্ৰা আদি নাৰী সকলে সমাজত প্ৰতিষ্ঠা লাভ কৰিব পাৰিছিল।আজিৰ মহিলা সককেও বিভিন্ন দিশত পুৰুষৰ সমানে আগুৱাই যাবলৈ সক্ষম হৈছে।মহিলা সেয়েহে কন্যা শিশু সকলক সৰুৰে পৰাই শাৰীৰিক মানসিক সকলো
