1. City bus stoppages may be marked “A” & “B” types, alternately in each routes. And City Buses also be marked accordingly in each route, like 22(A), 22(B) etc. and buses will be stopped in the respective codes only for a maximum of 1(one) minute.
2.'U’ turn points may be provided almost 100m far from the main entrance such that the vehicles may take their sides on moving. No U turn (over the road) where flyover is nearby, around 1.0/2.0 km within the city

পদপথ ব্যৱহাৰৰ উপযোগীকৈ গঢ়াৰ লগতে পদপথৰ কাষলৈকে পথটো ১০০ শতাংশ ব্যৱহাৰৰ উপযোগী কৰি গঢ়ি তুলিলে। পথৰ ওপৰত parking সম্পূৰ্ণ বন্ধ কৰাৰ লগতে No Parking বুলি পথটো সৰু কৰা পৰম্পৰা আতৰাই দিব লাগে সোনকালে। পদপথৰ তলৰ অংশটো সাধাৰণতে ব্যৱসায়ীয়ে হওক বা ট্ৰেফিকেই সাধাৰণতে No Parking লগাই ৰাস্তাটো সৰু কৰি দিয়ে। No Parking বুলি কলেই নহব মানুহে গাড়ী মটৰ Parking কৰিব লাগিব কিন্তু তাৰ বাবে বিজ্ঞানসন্মত নহলেও বাস্তৱসন্মত উচিত ব্যৱস্থা গ্ৰহণৰ দৰকাৰ। চিটিবাছ সমূহৰ কাৰণে ধেনু আকৃতিৰ বাছ আস্থান নিৰ্মাণ কৰক যাতে বাছখন

If the vehicles are strictly not allowed to overtake from 1/2 km of Saraighat bridge till crossing 1/2 km from the bridge then the movement of vehicles shall be smoother and continuous and very less chance of traffic jam. On the bridge only one lane from either side be allowed. Traffic personal should be very strict and impose heavy fine, penalty to errant driver. At every 100 meter one Traffic Police with full responsibility be apointed. Divider should be there through out without any gap.

My husband goes daily to his work at Baihata from Shantipur, Guwahati and he finds traffic jam on Saraighat bridge almost regularly. Sometimes in crossing the bridge from one side takes about 2 hrs. Per hour jam costs fuel of atleast ₹150/- apart from frustration and mental agony for not being able to reach the destination and return back in time. How much working hrs. and money and previous fuel are wasted daily, one can imagine. If the vehicles run in a single lane then jam is eased.

1.Introduce pedestrian and bicycle lane heavily in city planning. 2. Impose heavy tax on private car. 3. Introduce under ground sub way in shorter route.4.Educate public for traffic rule and civic sense. 5.Finish corruption.

মহাশয়, মই 2013 china গৈছিলো. তাতে মই পাইছো pvt vehicle ওপৰত govt restriction. জি সকল vehicle regd no ending with 1 and 5তেওঁলোকে monday, জি সকল ending with 2 and 6,তেওঁলোকে tuesday, ending with 3 and 7, তেওঁলোকে wed day, 4 and 8, তেওঁলোকে thrus day আৰু 5 and 0, তেওঁলোকে friday গাড়ি ওলাব নোয়ারে. Sat day and sunday no restriction.

The major reason for traffic congestion is improper management and bribery at the lowest level. the width of roads are sufficient enough if the lanes are dedicated, say extreme left for mass public transport like city bus, trackers. extreme right must be dedicated for overtaking and must remain free of traffic. while the middle lanes must be dedicated for 2-wheelers, three wheelers & 4-wheelers respectively.if police is effective, nothing is impossible. adhere to speed limit,prohibit lane change

Guwahati is a very beautiful city but the traffic jams are the worst.This is taking place because of improper management,no proper parking place,irregular bus stoppages.With the increase in vehicles the rules should be changed according to the vehicles on road.As 4 lane roads are there,I suggest the buses should be allowed to go on a particular lane and other cars,bikes and scottys on the other.And moreover no one should be allowed to overtake until they give signal and move forward.

There should be restriction of heavy truck on NH bypass during puja and office hours to ease the traffic flow.
