The Finance Department has been emphasising on the need to make the budget citizen and outcome oriented. It aims to prepare an “eBudget” that is extremely easy for the citizens to read and consume information. Driven by the motto of participatory governance, the Finance Department, for the second consecutive year plans to invite suggestions from the public on various subjects for the forthcoming budget 2018-19.

The citizens can visit the Finance Department website (https://finance.assam.gov.in/) to submit their ideas online. Suggestions are also welcome through assam.mygov.in as well on varied subjects which may include this year’s sectors namely:

• Child
• Girl Child
• Divyang
• Elderly
• Gender
• Sustainable Development Goals

Last date: 16th February, 2018.

Best suggestions to be featured in the Budget 2018-19 will receive a letter of appreciation signed by the Additional Chief Secretary & Principal Secretary, Finance Department and other surprises.

Agricultural Side Of Our State Should Be Developed.Road Condition of villages is to be improved and The Electricity Facilities should be available in every Villages.As We All Know That Most Of The People of Assam Lives in Villages So The Financial Policies Should Be Made with a view to develop the villages.It is very important To Develop the villages Rather than Cities.

Enough amount of fund should be sanctioned for improvement of roads in Barak Valley. Barak Valley forever neglected by the respective govts. Free coaching should be provided to at least 2000 UPSC/APSC aspirants. Health care needs urgent attention and more amount of fund should be alloted

The commercial taxes and other revenue officials must be made duty bound to become the facilitators of trade and industry and not the one's to exploit anyone in any manner. Their friendly behavior can easily encourage compliance and overall growth of the economy.

Special budgetary provisions should be made for the promotion of Poultry and Veterinary estates, Tourism sector and development of Guwahati City.

With out feedback from the customer or beneficiary we can not assume the success of a system. Please give details of the on going Govt project to public in local news paper and over net. Also provide easy facility to collect feedback from the beneficiary.

Please make ISO certification compulsory for all Govt office and have proper independent auditors for the same. It will resolve many discrepancy in records and loopholes in accomplishment of Govt work.
