Online Parvati Prasad Baruva Geet Competition

Parvati Prasad Baruva was an eminent figure of Assamese culture and literature. He was famous as a lyricist, poet, dramatist and film maker. He is popularly known as Geetikobi (lyrical poet). His contributions in the field of Assamese culture are immense and multifarious.

On the occasion of his birth anniversary on August 19, MyGov Assam conducts an online Parvati Prasad Baruva Geet competition for students. Make a video of your performance of a Parvati Prasad Baruva Geet and send it to *mygovassam@gmail.com*.

Group A- Class IV- VII
Group B- Class VIII- X

Last date: August 25

Top three participants in each group shall be awarded with a certificate of appreciation signed by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam.

Audio recording will not be accepted
Only entries submitted through email (mygovassam@gmail.com) will be accepted
The email must also contain the following: name, address, class, name of school and contact number
Accompaniments are not compulsory
A participant can submit only one entry
The recording must be of high quality
Decision of MyGov Assam shall be final
