Mother bears a lot of significance in everyone’s life. She attains a very high stature in Indian society among others. The International Mother’s Day is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May.

In the run-up to the celebrations on May 12, MyGov Assam invites you to share with us your best moment with your mother.

The ‘moment’ can be dedicating a song to her / singing a video song / writing a poem for her /sharing a candid moment with your mother in the house etc.

You can send your entries to assam.mygov.in and some of the best entries will be featured on MyGov Assam’s various social media platforms.

Last date of receipt of entries is May 20

Note: Plagiarised entries will be disqualified.

O for the One and Only good thing that ever happened to me
T is for the Tender love you have given me for lives
H is for the Heavens there all my mother's represent on earth
E is for an Exceptional Lord who else can that be
R for the Reassuring comfort my mother brings to me.
Mother dearest mother without you where would I have been
Could I have been where Iam today had it not been for thee

मेरी आँखों का काजल है,

तुझे खुश रखने की मुझे आदत है,
कभी मुझे अकेला होने नहीं देती,
माँ मुझे कभी रोने नहीं देती,
हमेसा गिरे मेरी पलकों से आंसू ,
जब भी मैं हुआ उदास ूँ ,
हमेसा मेरे साथ खड़ी हो जाती,
मेरे हर दर्द को झेल जाती,
देती है मुझे अपना हाथ,
सिखाती है मुझे चलना औरो के साथ ,
माँ को छोड़ के आगे चला जाता हूँ ,
पीछे मुड़ के देखो तो माँ को वही पता हूँ \
