The Assam Budget 2018-19 is undergoing multiple reforms in terms of citizen-centricity, citizen-friendliness and transparency. Various initiatives have been planned to create an “eBudget” which will facilitate in easy understanding and access by the citizens.

The state budget is being planned to reach new lasting dimensions; the need for a logo is highly felt to reflect the vision and intentions of the budget. Hence, Finance Department is inviting entries for a permanent logo of Assam State Budget (not essentially for the current year) as part of the initiatives.

Theme:
The logo should touch upon the theme of Sustainable and Equitable Growth while preserving
the Cultural Heritage and Safeguarding the Environment.

Last Date: 16th January,2018

Winner will receive a letter of appreciation signed by the Additional Chief Secretary & Principal Secretary, Finance Department & other surprises.

The logo signifies the importance of cultural traditions while aiming for modernization. A state government budget should emphasize on building infrastructure, education, technology, employment and cleanliness of the state (Swach Bharat) while maintaining harmony with nature, tradition and cultural values. A hope that the budget should raise the hopes of the people as strong as a rhino.

The logo represents paddy seeds and leaves which denote the importance of agriculture development.The Xorai in the middle represents the culture of Assam as well the bell metal industry which is the small scale industry of assam.The cog and mechanical tools in the middle denotes industrial development and skill development respectively.the yellow frame is the lcd computer monitor signalling the growth of e budget and digital technology.An orangepencil below the LCD screen represent education
