With just a few days remaining for the 17th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the people of India are eagerly waiting to witness the biggest sporting event of the year. Much to the excitement of the soccer lovers of Northeast India, Guwahati is one of the Host Cities for FIFA U-17 World Cup.

With a view to highlight the wonderful culture of Guwahati, a logo designing competition has been organised by Sports Department, Assam. The broad theme of the Host City Logo would be to depict the rich cultural heritage of the city of Guwahati along with the image of a modern and upcoming city. The selected Host City Logo of Guwahati will be juxtaposed with the FIFA Logo to make it a composite one.

The Host City shall be entitled to be involved in the creation of the Guwahati city specific element of the Host City Composite Logo in such a manner as determined by FIFA and the Local Organising Committee (LOC). The final decision on the content and the visual-artistic creation as well as the other conditions for the development and the use of the Host City Composite Logo solely rests with FIFA.

Besides Guwahati, the tournament, which will take place from 6th till 28th of October will be held in five other venues, namely Kochi, Goa, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata.

Last date: July 10th, 2017

The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 25, 000 along with a Certificate of Participation.

I have tried to showcase the lifeline of Guwahati, is., the Brahmaputra,our heritage Maa Kamakhya temple, Saraighat that reminds us of glorious history and the developing metro city.

FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP Guwahati 2017
1/ In the first logo I am trying to show the a trophy with a football. Then the rhinos symbolizes Guwahati and Assam. And finally the tricolor represents India.

2/ The second logo represents a football tournament held in Guwahati, India.

3/ The third logo represents a football trophy held in India. The icon of the Kamakhya temple represents the city of Guwahati.

In all logos the texts represents that it is the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017

Find enclosed the Logo for Fifa U-17 that I've submitted.
Theme: This particular Logo depicts a Fusion of Guwahati & Assam's Development, its Culture, & it's history (the Kamakhya Mandir, besides the skyscrapers & a flowing stream). It also shows Assam's tradition & inclination to Dance, music.
Colours: Colours used are mainly those that Match Fifa's Corporate Logo. (as given in the rules & regulations)
