On the occasion of the 70th Constitution Day, MyGov Assam is organising an essay writing competition for students of Class VIII-XII, as a tribute to the makers of the Constitution. Write your essays and upload the scanned or PDF or MS Word copy on this portal in the comment section below.
Top three best entries will be awarded with certificates of appreciation to be signed by Hon’ble Chief Minister.

Union HRD (Human Resurce Development) Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ launched the kartavya.ugc.ac.in portal on the occasion of ‘Constitution Day’ as govt has decided to run a Nagrik Kartavya Palan Abhiyan from 26th November 2019 to 26th November 2020, to create mass awareness about the Fundamental Duties.
The portal will be used primarily for holding monthly essay competitions for students as well as other activities like quizzes, debates, poster making etc.

Constitution of India – The Supreme Power of Country
The Constitution of India is rightly said to be the supreme power of the country. The laws, codes, rights and duties mentioned in the Indian Constitution need to be followed strictly by the citizens of the country. The decisions made in the parliament and Supreme Court of India are all based on the laws and codes defined in the Constitution of India. Parliament of India does not have the power to override the constitution.
