Who have created eco-friendly alternatives for plastic

Plastic pollution has been increasing at an alarming rate and now aggravated to such high that it has come to threaten the existence of many species. The menace is more severe in urban belts. Meanwhile, Guwahati Municipal Corporation has undertaken several steps to curb the rampant use of plastic.

Facing such an extreme situation many innovative minds are working towards creating eco-friendly alternatives of plastic. If an individual, group or organisation is working for such a purpose, using cloth, paper, water hyacinth, jute or any other eco-friendly alternatives, they may share their experiences with MyGov Assam. Write about the initiative in details and send it to MyGov Assam.

Steps shall be taken to get innovators in touch with Guwahati Municipal Corporation through MyGov Assam.

paper bags can be used and the places where plastic is required can be replaced something made with Corn starch and sorghum loose fill,Plant-based plastics etc.

There are several steps that can be taken to minimise the use of plastic.
1. Public awareness (which clearly is ineffective)
2. Carpet ban on the use of plastic bags.
3. Charge the use of plastic bags. An initiative taken in London UK. Anyone who uses plastic bag is charged.
4. Make cheap jute bags available for shopping.

Dear Sir, There can be kind of dustbin co-operative, where people can dispose their garbage and earn coins and notes.. There should be registered(like in gullies and lanes and commercial area. Thank you.

Biodegradable plastics.
Set up an industry that runs on completely on solar energy and make biodegradable plastics which is much strong than three plastics we use.
This will set up an example to the whole world about our vision on green world. This can bring a major change to our earth.

বৰ্তমান সময়ত প্লাষ্টিকৰ ব্যৱহাৰৰ ফলত বিশ্বত এক ভয়াবহতাৰ সৃষ্টি হৈছে। এই ক্ষেত্ৰত বিকল্প ব্যৱস্থা গ্ৰহণ কৰাটো অতি প্ৰয়োজন হৈ পৰিছে । এই ক্ষেত্ৰত প্লাষ্টিকৰ বিকল্প হিচাপে আমি কাগজ, মৰাপাট আদিৰ বেগ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব পাৰোঁ । ইয়াৰোপৰি আমি বজাৰলৈ ডাঙৰ বেগ লৈ যাব পাৰো । সাধাৰণতে আমি বিয়া, সবাহ আদিত খাবলৈ প্লাষ্টিকৰ থালৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰো । ইয়াৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কম কৰিব লাগে । পৰাপক্ষত আমি ইয়াৰ পৰিবৰ্তে কলাপাত, কলৰ পতুৱা(বাকলি) ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব পাৰো। এনেবোৰ কৰিলে প্লাষ্টিকৰ ব্যৱহাৰ নাইকীয়া হ ব আৰু অসমখন চিৰসেউজ হৈ থাকিব ।
