Gandhi Statue Restored After Decades of Mistreatment

A glorious statue of Mahatma Gandhi made by renowned sculptor Ramkingkar Baij stands tall at Gandhi Mandap, Guwahati. With proactive steps from government, the statue was saved from threats of dismantling and is currently going through refurbishment under initiative of Heritage Conservation Society of Assam. Indeed, it was the right step being taken by the honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Sri Sarbananda Sonowal ji!
Kudos to the Govt. Of Assam for saving a part of the glorious history of Assam!
