Assam has the potential of transforming it into one of the most sought after tourist destination in the National and International arena. Assam treasures not only exotic wildlife, awesome scenic beauty; mighty river Brahmaputra and its tributaries, lush green tea gardens, age old historical monuments but also it has rich culture, colourful fairs and festivals, various traditional and other sports , serene and tranquil country side and warm and hospitable people to arouse the tourist of all categories. The existence of all these unique and diverse tourist products in one particular destination is rear on the tourist map of the planet earth.
But, lack of publicity and inadequate reach out programme with this information to the potential domestic and international tourists and above all, negative publicity about the law and order scenario of this region have been major reasons for the hold back in this sector from flourishing. Therefore, the government of Assam is coming up vigorously to address these issues with topmost priority, considering tourism sector as a major source for generating employment and income for both rural as well urban Assam.
In this regard government of Assam is seeking innovative ideas from the citizen at large to brand ‘Assam Tourism’ to the prospective tourists in the national and international sphere.

All the Tourist spots are to be mapped properly. Amenities and facilities as per the international standard are to be arranged. Communication facilities is to be developed and standard information desk is to be framed. Further, tie-up with Travelling agencies, on commission system (in black & white)can encourage the professionals to participate in the process. Advertisement by Reputed international agencies also will help in this regard. People of the locality are to be made tourist friendly

There is no doubt that Assam has the potential of transforming it into one of the most sought after tourist destination in the National and International arena. The best part is that it has a variety of elements with it's natural & cultural diversity along the different areas of the state. But according to me there is a lack of survey & awareness among the people of Assam, i,e us. I think before promoting Assam tourism, there is an urgent need of public awareness and infrastructure development.

Assam is known for its natural beauty .Its has all the ingredient that can attract the tourist from all part of the country & world
01. Need of 4 & 5 Star hotels in Kaziranga , Manas & Shillong & touriest Places.
02. Whole day City tour facilities required. Need to create an International Level recreation place within the city.(Disney Land type)
03. Whole day Cruise at Brahmaputra & Set up of Model Assam Village to show its culture. (like Silk Production etc) Sunil Jain 9435109606

1. Monsoon and winter air fares should be reduced to attract tourists from other states.
2. Improving road connectivity within the state will further attract more tourists.
3. Tax reduction in hotels during tourist visit season will again gain appreciation from tourists.
4. Online booking of government run guest homes or hotels, bus servicea etc should be improved.

1) Please provide ONLINE booking facility of Govt buses , Increase and improve Bus services with clean rest room, clean restaurants and hotels with better security.
2) Provide facility to travel in cruise on Brahmaputra and ONLINE booking facility to book the same, river cruise is not common in India.

(ৰাধাচূড়া) cassia javanica also known as java cassia, pink shower,apple blossome tree,rainbow shower tree Is a species of tree in FABACEAE family.its origine is south-east assia.it has been extensively grown in assam owing to its beautiful crimson and pink flower branches.

lets plant (সোনাৰু /কৃষ্ণচূড়া) cassia fistula golden shower konikonna and royal poinciana gulmohar regia flame by the sides of national and state highway and the bays of brahmputra along the sodia to dhubri,lets protect land falling of rivers bays,making polution free assam and save MAJULI making assam land of golden/ pink attracting tourism
