It is our responsibility to use the resources available in our environment in such a way that there is sufficient left for the future generations to come. This could be achieved by conserving our existing natural resources such as forests, wetlands, wildlife etc. Eco-friendly proactive actions such as using eco-friendly materials as an alternative to environmental hazards like plastics, can help to create a sustainable environment.

MyGov Assam solicits suggestions from the public on innovative ways to create a sustainable environment and contribute towards a healthy planet.

Though plastic pollution is a menace, people won't stop using it as Plastic products have become an integral part in our daily life as a basic need. Pyrolysis process becomes an option of waste-to-energy technology to deliver oil from all types of plastic waste from household, industrial and bio medical waste. Pyrolysis is a very good solution for plastic waste management which will lead to a very sustainable environment around us along with the socio economic development of the society.

It is notable that the publicity/ decorations with flex or plastic flowers or even the wrappers for flower bouquets used in all functions (except those used for permanent hoardings/ banners etc.) are merely a Single Use ones, being it limited to a function. It might add slightly more colours to our celebration, but eventually increase the plastic burden in our Environment making it disastrous in irreparable manner. Hence use of all Single Use Plastics should be prohibted. Thanks and Regards.

Sir, Sustainable development is essential to ensure that the valuable resources are available for future generations.Following steps can help in this regard
1.Judicious use of resources.
2.Switch over to wind energy farms where with a very minimal velocity fans could be runned to produce electricity.
3.The recycling of books .Delhi government has already launched a programme in which the used books are collected and then redistributed among poor children.

Always go for glass or steel bottles rather than plastic. As plastic bottles are harmful to the environment as well as our health too. Most of you'll say, glass or steel bottles cost more than plastic ones, but people cheap things are always harmful!!
