Let us combat the traffic of Guwahati, a gateway to North-East India

1) Many traffic lights don't function. These should be maintained and followed.
2) Crossing busy roads has become very risky and a nightmare especially for senior citizens. There should be zebra crossings on all busy roads where vehicles should stop to enable pedestrians to cross roads safely.
3)City buses, trekkers,etc engage in a dangerous race to overtake. The speed, safety and stoppage rules should be enforced.
4) More parking areas required and parking allowed only in the designated area

Few lines.....
1. Control city buses, stopping timings and places, closed some stoppages. It should also for Mazic, cabs etc.
2. Jalukbari Fly over now become a bus, mazic, cab etc. stand. It makes heavy traffic & the roads become dangerous.
3. Immediately do something for foot bridges or other way to cross the public.
4. Traffic rules should be implement strictly not only for Pvt. vehicles also for Govt vehicles like military etc.

Create Public Parking Facility in every crowded area.

Few points to tackle traffic problems.:
1. City buses are not to be allowed to stop more than 30 sec. in one stoppage. city buses are major cause for traffic jam.
2. stopping unauthorise bike & car parking.
3. very few people are using multilayered car parking at Zoo road. Traffic Dept should be strict.
4. ODD and EVEN system can be applied for private cars.
5. Due to bad road conditions some roads are not being used properly to divert the traffic pressure.Using alternative roads.

1. Only one file of parallel parking should be allowed at all roads inside the city
2. The buses should strictly stop close to the side of the road and never atleast 10m near a turning point
3. Dividers should be made in all flyovers to avoid two wheelers to crowd opposite lanes

1. Stops all the road side parking where the traffic jams are maximum.
2. Clear all the footpaths for pedestrian.
3. Stop all slow moving vehicles (Riska, Thela etc) between 8 am to 8 pm in main roads.

পথ বহল কৰা উচিত। আমাৰ গুৱাহাটী ত আজিলৈ পথ বহল কৰাত গুৰুত্ব আৰোপ কৰা হোৱা নাই। মূল পথ অকল G S road and RGB road। অতি কমেও এটা নতুন মুল পথ নিৰ্মাণ কৰক। নতুবা ring road নিৰ্মাণ কৰক। দেশৰ আন আন চহৰত Ring Road নিৰ্মাণ কৰা হৈছে। চিটিবাছ সমূহ ৰ কাৰণে ধেনু আকৃতিৰ বাছ আস্থান নিৰ্মাণ কৰক যাতে বাছ খন মুল পথৰ পৰা আতঁৰি আহে। ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় ঘাইপথ অংশ ৮ / ৬ পথ যুক্ত কৰক। পথৰ পাৰ্কিং সম্পূৰ্ণ ৰূপে বন্ধ কৰক। মটৰ পৰিবহণত যাতে পথ বোৰ ৯০% ব্যৱহাৰ হয়। উৰণীয়া সেঁতু নিৰ্মাণ কৰিবলৈ লোৱাত চৰকাৰক আদৰণি জনাইছোঁ

An efficient public transport system is the key to traffic de congestion. Investment should be made to create a network of highly efficient and good quality air conditioned buses and bus stops connecting all major parts of the city. Professionally operated high quality comfortable buses will encourage citizens to use more of public transport and less of private vehicles within the city. All roads should have a walkable footh path and bicycle tracks and govt should incentivise use of bicycle.
