For an enhanced interaction between the public and the Government, a well-designed website is of great importance. Government Website not only plays an integral role in dissemination of Information & Services to the public, but also in bringing transparency and openness in governance.
With the vision to offer an integrated web experience for the end-users across all government websites, the Government of Assam has taken a major step in Standardisation of Government Websites. The State Government initiated a project named “e-Prastuti”, a project steered under the aegis of the Information Technology Department to enable Standardisation of all Government Websites. The mission of this project is to guide the departments in designing and developing their websites in accordance with the Standardisation guidelines. This will provide a platform for participative practices and open governance for all the citizens of the state.

• Industries: (http://industries.assam.gov.in/)

Developers used a single design template for all the sites. It is very good for website design and development as it time saving technique but it not look good as government website. Moreover, device responsiveness is very poor. for example , Open http://pnrd.assam.gov.in/ from your smart phone and click Recruitment & Career Link.

It opens mygov.in instead of assam.mygov.in when one clicks on the MyGovAssam logo (Janatar Sarkar) found in the bottom of every website under e-prastuti.

For last two years I have been forwarding suggestions for the budget in response to the call of honourable Finance Minister of Assam. However there were no response from the authorities whether our suggestions are received / taken for discussion / selected for implementation / could not taken up etc. etc.. Response to these suggestions should be considered for encouraging the participant.
