Spring is in full bloom. While all are locked in, nature is ushering in more colours and beauty this season. It is the time of bounty when nature unleashes itself to the best. The earth comes to life again: trees look extra green, fresh buds bloom, animals awaken.
To think of it, it is indeed unfortunate to be locked in at a time when the earth looks its best. We may be deprived of a lot during the lockdown, but you can't keep spring from coming. It will always find a way to seep into our lives. You may find spring in your lawn, balcony garden, kitchen garden, terrace, some forgotten plant at the corner of your house, in a new leaf or in the view of an old tree through your window.
While in lockdown, the only way you can enjoy spring is through the many sights and sounds of nature in your vicinity. Take pictures of spring's bounty that you may find in and around your house and send us in the comment section below.

FOXTAIL ORCHID, a pinkish white flower, commonly known in Assam as KOPOU PHOOL (কপৌ ফুল) is a special type of orchid grown in the NorthEastern Part of India. It blooms in April and resembles a Fox Tail. It was accorded the status of State Flower of ASSAM in 2003. It has been since time immemorial, linked to Assamese Culture (as a symbol of merriment, love and affection) and is most conspicuous during Bohag Bihu or Rongali Bihu- not just on trees, but neatly tied to the bun of a female dancer.
