The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam” is organising a logo design competition, where the logo should highlight the focus areas of the Department.
The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department” of Assam is actively associated with enhancement of livelihood opportunities, alleviation of poverty, creation of an environment of social security, working towards economic inclusion of rural poor families, sanitation etc among many other functions in the State. The main objective of the Department is to empower rural Assam through implementation of a number of welfare schemes and programmes. It seeks to develop rural infrastructure, alleviate poverty, generate employment opportunities, remove regional imbalance and provide housing for rural poor, so that our rural economy can grow effectively.
Focus Areas:
• Enhancement of livelihood opportunities
• Development of Rural Infrastructure
• Rural Housing
• Sanitation
• Eradication of Poverty
• Rural Employment Opportunities
Prize Money: The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.

my logo for the project of Panchayat & Rural Development,Assam is very simple featuring the map of assam with sun as a mark of development and a simple house and plantation featuring development in agriculture and farming.

I tried something different
Everyone is submitting logos with full of colours rural area images and with the logo of Assam Government.
If u compare the logo of other states they too also have same thing,as mentioned above.
So I hope that my government likes my work

I wanted to showcase the development in the agricultural techniques by showing the transition from a cart wheel to a tractor wheel which forms a 'CHARKHA'. The Charkha symbolises the developmental cycle and how far we have come since the beginning. The houses, factories and Wi-Fi tower inside the Charkha depicts our achievements in the recent past. I tried to come up with a unique, meaningful and symbolic logo which is not just appealing but also does justice to the theme. Hope I could. Thanks!

The logo highlights the focus areas of the dept. namely sanitation, housing & infrastructure development,employment opportunities and better livelihood
Targeting these sectors the dept. aims to achieve overall rural development that is shown by the 'red colored forward directed half arrow >"
I've put elements like the 'xorai' & 'pepa' which holds great significance in the assamese culture to uphold its cultural richness
