The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam” is organising a logo design competition, where the logo should highlight the focus areas of the Department.
The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department” of Assam is actively associated with enhancement of livelihood opportunities, alleviation of poverty, creation of an environment of social security, working towards economic inclusion of rural poor families, sanitation etc among many other functions in the State. The main objective of the Department is to empower rural Assam through implementation of a number of welfare schemes and programmes. It seeks to develop rural infrastructure, alleviate poverty, generate employment opportunities, remove regional imbalance and provide housing for rural poor, so that our rural economy can grow effectively.
Focus Areas:
• Enhancement of livelihood opportunities
• Development of Rural Infrastructure
• Rural Housing
• Sanitation
• Eradication of Poverty
• Rural Employment Opportunities
Prize Money: The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.
Last Date of Submission: 4th August, 2017.

I have tried to show the development of Rural side into a Township ........where i made a sun depicting the hope for the development.....and I tried to show the rural site how changed into a Mega City after many years........Hope you all will like it.

My logo includes: Toilet, greenery, hospital, buildings for poor peoples, roads, super fast trains, aeroplanes, school, 24x7 electricity supply, 24x7 water supply, Assam is shining with industries and better infrastructure with ships for exporting assam finest quality tea, jute,etc, more employment for everybody. No more poverty in Assam. Hope you like my idea of making a better living for the people of assam and surrounding areas.

In the logo, I have tried to incorporate all the mentioned above focus areas. Development of infrastructure and rural housing. I have shown rural employment opportunities by silhouette of factory in the central part of logo and with an icon on the left where a person is walking with a suitcase.
I have shown eradication of poverty by the icon on the top where there is a beggar being helped by a man. Sanitation has been implied by the icon of male and female fig. Blue denotes water.
