The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam” is organising a logo design competition, where the logo should highlight the focus areas of the Department.

The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department” of Assam is actively associated with enhancement of livelihood opportunities, alleviation of poverty, creation of an environment of social security, working towards economic inclusion of rural poor families, sanitation etc among many other functions in the State. The main objective of the Department is to empower rural Assam through implementation of a number of welfare schemes and programmes. It seeks to develop rural infrastructure, alleviate poverty, generate employment opportunities, remove regional imbalance and provide housing for rural poor, so that our rural economy can grow effectively.

• Development of Rural Infrastructure
• Rural Housing
• Sanitation
• Eradication of Poverty
• Rural Employment Opportunities

Prize Money: The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.

In the logo, Road represents "Development of Rural Infrastructure", The panicle of Rice represents "Rural ASSAM".Human symbols represent "Enhancement of livelihood opportunities" and "Rural Employment Opportunities".There are two small sized human symbols which represents the people facing poverty, but they are uplifted by the privileged ones by providing them support and opportunity. House represents "Rural Housing" Tap with water drop represents "Sanitation".

This is my design of a Logo encompassing all areas falls under the purview of Panchayat & Rural Development Department. The lettering of the logo is suggestive only which will be replaced by suitable fonts in the later stage.
