The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam” is organising a logo design competition, where the logo should highlight the focus areas of the Department.

The “Panchayat & Rural Development Department” of Assam is actively associated with enhancement of livelihood opportunities, alleviation of poverty, creation of an environment of social security, working towards economic inclusion of rural poor families, sanitation etc among many other functions in the State. The main objective of the Department is to empower rural Assam through implementation of a number of welfare schemes and programmes. It seeks to develop rural infrastructure, alleviate poverty, generate employment opportunities, remove regional imbalance and provide housing for rural poor, so that our rural economy can grow effectively.

Prize Money: The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.

Sir,we have tried to satisfy the given areas.It starts with rural housing from the top left side of the Logo. Then it states sanitation right next to it.After that the water drops towards the paddy fields and there is a tractor too which represents eradication of poverty.The tractor is heading towards the road which represents the development of our villages.At last the men represents the employment opportunities caused by development and on the bottom,it represents the unity of different people

The logo background is on the Assamese traditional Topi symbolising the state of Assam.The integral parts of Panchayat and rural developments like agriculture (grain),mechanization of agriculture(wheel),environment(tree),water preservation(water drop),sanitation( red cross),rural housing,lighting/electrification,transport(road) all have been incorporated.
