Skill development is one of the ideal ways to ensure justified and optimum utilisation of human resource. However, this is possible only when the right type of education accompanies. Assam currently faces a huge skilled manpower gap which escalates the issue of unemployment to a great extent.
The initiative of Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) has been undertaken by the Government of Assam with a view to addressing these challenges of creating skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities within the state. The objective of this mission is to amplify the income levels of the youth of Assam, thereby raising the socioeconomic status of the State.
ASDM functions as an Apex Body, which focuses on skill development activities in public as well as private sectors. Job readiness being a mighty calling in a person’s career, ASDM also prepares short-term and long-term skill plans for the youth to make them more employable. Aiming towards yielding meaningful employment, this Apex Body nurtures a vision to increase the capacity and capability of the system to deliver quality skill training.
The Competition
Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM), Government of Assam invites entries from interested persons for a logo design competition. This logo, which would be used in the official website of ASDM, shall help the mission establish its unique identity. In a world that is going digital, the logo will also help the mission leave a digital footprint of its actions, communications, and contributions manifested on the Internet.

ASDM's main objective ;people and development of their skills. The human figure symbolises the raw spirit of our true skills .
ASDM is a platform for welfare of our skilled people ; the blue shapes symbolising stairs for development .The ASDM being a premier platform for both the working skilled men but also the artists, here so signified by the “necktie”
Assam ;abode of both serene hills and majestic plains .Here the Triangle and the Circle represents the hills and plains respectively

As you can see in the logo first logo, It shows a dish antenna emitting signal, which resemble a pictorial representation of Digitizing Assam. Here in this logo as we observe minutely, the dish of the antenna represented structure resemble the alphabet ‘D’ inclined at a certain angle, and the frame supporting the dish resemble the alphabet ‘A’ and hence depicting the title ‘DIGITIZE ASSAM’. According to me if there is development in the technical sector, our state can achieve wonders.

The LOGO represents three things
1. The Symbols is the yellow surface represents the various Skill Development of every youth of Assam.
2. The gear represents the raise of different Skill of youth of Assam by the mission.
3. The two men in the blue portion of the gear shows the success of the mission
4. The three colour strips in right hand side of the gear shows the growth of youth of Assam.

This logo represents growth and development in the various fields, like digital, industrial, and agricultural and the entire sector in general. Each alphabet in the logo highlights a certain sector and factor of growth and skill development. The colours are chosen according to the emotions they bring out in the audience.
