Plastic is one of the leading causes of air, water and land pollution and poses a major threat to the environment. Plastic is composed of harmful pollutants and is non-biodegradable, leading to huge accumulation of plastic waste all over the world. Not only plastic pollution affects our plants and wildlife, but also have a harmful effect on humans, resulting in various kinds of diseases.

This coming World Environment day on June 5, let your ideas for a plastic free Assam turn into beautiful crafts. The craft items has to be made from plastic waste or any other eco-friendly alternatives to plastic.

MyGov Assam seeks craft entries based on the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution.”

Make a video of your craft and upload it on YouTube and share the link at www.assam.mygov.in

The winner will be awarded a certificate and cash prize of Rs 10,000

Last date of submission: June 30, 2018

    • Mention your name, address and contact number
    • The videos should be original and not plagiarised
    • Minimum video resolution should be 720p
    • The aspect ratio of the video should be 16:9
    • The video should be of mp4/MOV/ AVI/VOB extension
    • The decision of MyGov Assam will be final

Jute is the best option to beat plastic. This is eco friendly and pollution free. Farmers should be encouraged to cultivate jute. Public should use jute in place of plastic. Jute is job producing crops.
