All Assam Art Competition on Wildlife Week

The greater adjutant stork, known as ‘hargila’ in Assam, is a member of the stork family Ciconiidae. It is a species of scavenging birds with a bare head and a gular pouch. Due to loss of habitat, climate change, lack of awareness and many such reasons, the species had to bear the threat of extinction. Hargila is an endangered species as per the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

On the occasion of Wildlife Week 2020, MyGov Assam, in association with Dept of Forest, Govt of Assam, organises an all Assam art competition for students on the theme Hargila Conservation. Participants may take help from parents/guardians to understand the given topic. Entries must be submitted in the comment section below.

Theme: Hargila Conservation
Last date of submitting entries: October 7, 2020

The competition shall be held in two groups
Group A: Class V-VIII
Group B: Class IX-XII

Prizes:
1st prize: Rs 5,000
2nd prize: Rs 3,000
3rd prize: Rs 2,000

Winners will also get certificates to be signed by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam.

Terms & conditions:
Participants have to submit scanned copies of their art/painting.
The scanned image must not be more than 10 mb in size.
Entries must be submitted in the comment section below.
Participants may use water colour, poster colour, crayons, pencil, etc., for sketch/painting.
Participants must mention their age, class and phone number.
A participant can submit only one entry.
Decision of MyGov Assam regarding selection of winners shall be final.
