The Finance Department has been emphasising on the need to make the budget citizen and outcome oriented. It has developed the one of the first eBudgets in India. An “eBudget” is highly convenient for the citizens to read and consume information. Driven by the motto of participatory governance, the Finance Department, this year also plans to invite suggestions from the public on various subjects for the forthcoming Assam Budget 2019-20.
The citizens can visit the Finance Department website to submit their ideas online. Suggestions are also welcome here on varied needs of the citizens:

1) 40% post should be reserve for Assamese medium passed out candidates in state govt. jobs.

2) More fund should be allocated in infrastructure head, mainly in construction of roads in rural areas.

3) Regularise the posts of Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission Society (ASRLMS) under P&RD department employees, from state to block level.

4) Fund for DDU-GKY scheme in block level can be lowered as there is not much scope for expenditure.
