Innovation Challenge for Disaster Risk Reduction

To mark the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDR) globally celebrated on 13th October every year, Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) is organizing a pre-event exhibition/competition for the start-ups/ innovators/entities to provide a platform to exhibit their ideas/innovations for disaster risk reduction.

Disaster Management Authority strives to bring together different stakeholders such as policy-makers, administrators, departmental functionaries, WDMCs, NGOs, community leaders and private stakeholders for a comprehensive consultation on disaster risk reduction. The idea is to explore 360 degree mitigation solutions for disaster risk reduction and reduce our vulnerability to hazards.

The Authority will set up an exhibition space in the event/workshop organized, to give an exposure to the selected start-ups/entities/innovators, working in the field of disaster management.

Innovations related to disaster management like localised technological solutions or strategies in communication, GPS based solutions, search and rescue operations, relief and reconstruction, locally developed life-saving objects, flood shelters, early warning systems, and hazard resilient designs/materials, indigenous innovations etc. can be submitted to ASDMA through the platform of MyGov Assam.

Terms & Conditions:

• Participation is sought from start-ups, innovators, entities and also from students/incubation centres/entrepreneurship cell/student innovation centres of Institutions.
• Participant will have to fill out the application form available at mygov.in & also www.asdma.gov.in
• In case you are applying through https://assam.mygov.in , you have to first register in the website.

• On submission, the participant will receive a confirmation email.
