Along with the rest of the world, India too celebrates World Heritage Day on April 18. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to raise awareness, influence and encourage the citizens at large for the preservation and safety of the cultural heritages and monuments of the state of Assam.

Assam enjoys a unique position in the tourism sector for its rich & diverse culture and being a home to various cultural heritages & monuments that goes back to the mythological era. Hence, it is important to preserve and protect these monuments, to keep the legacy alive.

There are many heritages installations which took the shape of prominent tourist spots, but unfortunately many remain scattered or unknown or in a dilapidated condition that need to be revamped.

To revive the lost glory of those, ‘MyGov Assam’ solicits your active participation in identifying and highlighting those heritages and requests you to send the photographs along with the name and place of the subjects.
