People with disabilities have made enormous contributions to the society. In recognising their contribution, Department of Social Welfare, Assam announces
‘Deen Dayal Distinguished Achievement Award’
for the persons with disabilities who have brought laurels to the state in national or international level in various fields in the following categories-
(i) Sports & Human Resource Development, (ii) Literature, Art & Culture (iii) Science & Technology, (iv) Industry & Commerce (v) Social Service categories.

Each selected person will be awarded with a citation and cash prize. To nominate, any individual / organisation / institution /agency are requested to send the name of such person(s), along with their testimonials to:
Award Nomination Desk, Directorate of Social Welfare, Assam, Kachari Ghat, MG Road, Uzanbazar, Guwahati- 1 Or through www.assam.mygov.in

An applicant is eligible to apply in one category only.
Last Date for Submission: 3 pm, December 5, 2017

It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Jitu Sarma, a deaf and dumb boy for Dean Dayal Distinguished Achievement Award for the persons with disabilities in the fields of Sports ( Archery). He is playing archery since 2014 and participated in district, state, national and university level competitions and got medals and prizes. He has passed his matriculation and higher secondary level in First Division and now reading Degree level at IIRDDAI, Jalukbari.

i m also team leader of paralympic association of assam.
i m recently organized All Assam Open crickrt trail for differently abled(DIVYANJAN) ON 26/11/2017 AT MALIGAON NF RAILWAY STADIUM TO FIND OUT HIDDEN talent of assam.
i play national and zonal cricket tournament in 2012(odisa),2013(bangalore karnataka), 2014 manipur,2015, 2015 hubli karnatka, jharkhand, 2016 kolkata, 2017 bihar.
